Lights have been turned off across Australia's largest city, Sydney, in a hour-long event aimed at raising awareness of global warming. The activity about protecting earth that is supported by is supported by the New South Wales government, environmental groups and businesses. While the plan is working, there are several restaurants, bar, and companies switching off and substituting the candlelight and torches for power source.

The plan of “Earth hour” is good for whole the world. Though this plan is just sustained one hour for each country. I think the most important meaning behind the plan is teaching us how to reduce the natural resources without limit and to protect our precious earth.

There are many way to protect our earth, we are not only switching off light but also reduce the using of the plastic bags. Lights switch off after using is easy for everybody. We should form a habit for switch off, reduce the extra consumption of energy sources. While we go out and want to buy something, we should prepare our own shopping bag. Banning against using extra plastic bags can decrease the burden on earth.

After the development, we have started to destroying the earth. Although the progress of science and technology can make our life better, the earth is harmed for a long time. That seems we just have one way to improve the earth, that is reducing the energy of sources and return the original life. We have to think the result of science progress.

In the future, how can we solve the problems of global warming and nature pounce upon, maybe the way is returning the original life, or we use science and technology to improve all of these problems. Or worst of all, the earth will destroyed by earth people, and there are no creatures on the earth anymore.

Taiwan victor promises China ties

Taiwan's newly-elected president has pledged to establish better economic and political ties with China. At first, Mr Ma will make a peace treaty, which he said would be conditional on the removal of what Taiwan says are some 1,000 missiles aimed at the island.

I think that be a nation of chinese should cautious with the news of president election. Most of us will think that 2008 president election is nothing about us. Because we are too young to interfere political affairs. I think that is just an excuse for evading. Although I am not old enough to vote, I care about the news about this election.

There always have chief flaw in the president election around the world. The candidates will attack each other's by using calumniatory event. At each other's throat will split Taiwan into rival factions. While I saw the saying from Mr Ma,"I will make it crystal clear that Taiwan will be a stakeholder and will not rock the boat in the region", people should not separate cause different regions and cliques.

Instead, this election provide a new opportunity for both sides resolving their differences in peacefully. Whether the president is Ma or Hsieh, who can give us a safe and peace country is good president. Because we can not vouch that which policy is better to Taiwan people in the future. At present, most part of Taiwanese think that vote to Mr Ma is a correct decision. Furthermore, we hope this new president can bring the brand-new prospects and make Taiwan progress.

Taipei bike show attracts 86,000 visitors

The Taipei International Cycle Show held from march 14 to 17, which ended yesterday. attracted more than 86,000 visitors. The bike show, hosted at Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Nangang Exhibition Hall. because of having the advantage of providing larger exhibition space and the third-largest bike show in the world, there are many interational buyer coming.

When I knew this news, the international bike show held on Nangang,I could not wait to join this show. Before I known the cycle show in Nangang, the technology of bike in Taiwan well-known in the world. This was correct choice that I visited the bike show.

There were many cycle company in the exhibition hall, involved 1 to 4 floor.
Many company have their own technology in every part of the bike, from brakes to wheels. The variety of the bike company made me dazzled. But after this show, I understood the part of bike more. Most interesting of this bike show is the outdoor bike test. After saw many different bike introduction, I thought the real touching in the bike that was the other way to make us understand the bike.

There were many kind of bike could be ride. Every bike had their own function. I chose one of them to ride. The form of the bike that had enlarge pedal was unusual.
although the appearance was full of design and innovate, the way to step the pedals was not easy to the beginner.

After this expo experience, I learned many knowledge of the bike. Furthemore, I was proud of the bike technology in Taiwan.
